Why teams pick IronMemo
IronMemo is an AI meeting assistant built for teams whose meetings are not in English only. It benchmarks speech models per language and routes every recording to the winner, links each summary line back to the transcript with a timecode, and takes uploads up to 2 GB - no bot in your call.
Updated August 3, 2026
- Uploads up to 2 GB
- 30+ languages
- No bot joins your call
Six differences you can verify
Every claim links to the page that proves it - a benchmark, a methodology or a policy. Nothing here asks to be taken on faith.
Per-language model routing
One engine cannot be the best in every language. IronMemo benchmarks speech models per language and routes each recording to the current winner for its language.
The selection methodology and the re-testing cadence are public.
How our AI worksTimecode provenance
Every summary line links back to the exact transcript lines it came from, with timecodes - so any statement in the notes can be audited in seconds.
Try it on the live sample below, then see how accuracy is measured.
See the proofWe banned Whisper
We benchmarked the most popular open transcription model and banned it from production: on silence and background noise it hallucinates text nobody said.
The finding and the selection method that replaced it are documented.
Read whyUpload-first, up to 2 GB
No bot joins your call. Record however you already record, then upload the file - up to 2 GB, multi-hour recordings included.
Formats, limits and the three processing steps are on the upload hub.
How upload worksStored in the EU (Austria)
Customer data is stored on infrastructure provided by netcup GmbH in a data centre in Austria (EEA) - for every customer and every plan, with no region setting to get wrong.
Hosting, retention periods and the public sub-processor list are itemized.
Security detailsYour content never trains our own models
Customer content is never used to train IronMemo's own AI models - and the Privacy Policy, the Terms and the DPA all say so in writing.
The policy says it plainly and keeps a public version history.

One screen against a generic notetaker
No competitor names here - the dedicated comparison pages do that. This is the pattern difference.
A generic AI notetaker
- One transcription engine for every language - quality depends on where its training data happened to be.
- A bot joins the call, guests see an extra participant, and some clients refuse to speak with it there.
- Summary bullets stand alone - verifying one means re-reading the whole transcript.
- Free tiers are usually metered in minutes, so long recordings hit the cap first.
IronMemo
- Speech models are benchmarked per language, and each recording is routed to the current winner.
- Nothing joins your call - you upload the recording afterwards, up to 2 GB.
- Every summary line carries a timecode link back to its source lines.
- Multi-hour files are the point, not the exception.
A generic notetaker is the right choice for short, English-only huddles where nobody will ever audit the notes. IronMemo earns its keep when meetings are long, multilingual or worth verifying.
Who IronMemo is not for
An honest filter saves you a trial you would cancel anyway.
You want a free bot for casual huddles
If meetings are short, English-only and nobody rereads the notes, a free generic notetaker is enough - accuracy differences stop mattering at those stakes.
You want a bot that auto-joins your calls
IronMemo is upload-first and processes recordings after the meeting. If you want automatic calendar capture, live captions or real-time prompts during the call, that is a different product category.
You need HIPAA or a BAA
IronMemo does not offer a standard Business Associate Agreement, and the Terms do not allow uploading protected health information without a separate written agreement.
You need self-hosted or US-only hosting
IronMemo is cloud-hosted SaaS only, with customer data stored in the EU (Austria) - no US region, no region choice. If your policy requires your own servers or US-resident data, we are not your vendor.
If one of these is you, we would rather say so here than after your trial.
